Easy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

The Cajun shrimp Pasta is a quick, easy, and flavorful stand-alone seafood meal. It’s a satisfying comfort seafood pasta at its best.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 Tomatoes large
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • A bunch of basil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/2 Cup onion chopped
  • 8 green onions minced

Spicy Cajun Shrimp

  • 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Instructions

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and boil till al-dente. Drain the excess water and set aside
  • Season shrimp with paprika, thyme, black pepper and Salt salt; mix thoroughly and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok add 2 tbsp of oil. Add the diced Onion and fry until translucent. Add the shrimp and cook for about 5 minutes or till cooked through without any gray on the inside.
  • Just when the shrimps are about done, add the bell peppers and stir fry for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • In the same pan, add two tablespoons of oil and the diced tomatoes. Stir, then cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or till the tomatoes release it juices and it becomes soft.
  • Add the thyme, black pepper, and Chicken stock
  • Stir in the pasta. Once it’s heated through you can then add the shrimps and the basil leaves.
