Easy Cajun Shrimp Pasta
The Cajun shrimp Pasta is a quick, easy, and flavorful stand-alone seafood meal. It’s a satisfying comfort seafood pasta at its best.
Servings 5 people
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 3 Tomatoes large
- 1/2 cup chicken stock
- A bunch of basil
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Red pepper flakes optional
- 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/2 Cup onion chopped
- 8 green onions minced
Spicy Cajun Shrimp
- 1 lb Shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 3/4 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 green bell pepper chopped
- 1 red bell pepper chopped
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add pasta and boil till al-dente. Drain the excess water and set aside
Season shrimp with paprika, thyme, black pepper and Salt salt; mix thoroughly and set aside.
In a large skillet or wok add 2 tbsp of oil. Add the diced Onion and fry until translucent. Add the shrimp and cook for about 5 minutes or till cooked through without any gray on the inside.
Just when the shrimps are about done, add the bell peppers and stir fry for about 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
In the same pan, add two tablespoons of oil and the diced tomatoes. Stir, then cover and cook for 3 to 5 minutes or till the tomatoes release it juices and it becomes soft.
Add the thyme, black pepper, soy sauce, and Chicken stock
Stir in the pasta. Once it’s heated through you can then add the shrimps and the basil leaves.
