How To Microwave Broccoli
Broccoli is one of my favorite vegetables to cook. It's so quick and easy to prepare, and it's ready in no time. Plus, they are a healthy and tasty side dish.
Servings 1 person
- 1 broccoli bunch
- Salt to taste
- 1 Tbsp Water
- Melted Butter optional
- Lemon juice optional
Cut the broccoli head into florets
Wash the broccoli in cold water and drain dry.
Place the florets in a medium bowl
Add a tablespoon of water and season with salt and pepper
Place in the microwave and microwave for 1 minute ( microwave time can vary slightly depending on the watts of the microwave)
Cooking times may vary due to microwaves heating capacity.
Overcooking will result in mushy broccoli, as well as the loss of nutrients.
