Sorrel drink

This is not your average sorrel drink. I have modified this recipe to make it a bit more festive by adding sparkling water instead of plain water which gives this sorrel juice a little more kick and makes it more exotic.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sorrel Sorrell leaves
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 3 Cups Sparkling Water
  • 1 Cup Pineapple Juice
  • 1/2 Sugar Stevia, Honey etc.
  • 1 Teaspoon Mustard Seed
  • 1 Teaspoon Allspice
  • 1 Teaspoon whole Cloves
  • 1 Tablespoon Ginger Root Grated

Instructions

  • Rinse the Sorrel leaves with cool Tap Water
  • Combine the Water, Sorrel leaves, Mustard seeds, allspice, cloves, and Ginger and let it come to a boil
  • Take it off the heat and allow it to steep for about 30 minutes. Strain the Juice and discard the pulp.

Method 1

  •  Add the pineapple juice and sugar. Mix well
  • Serve Chilled and Enjoy.

Method 2

  • Add a bottle of sparkling water and sugar (or any sweetener of your choice). Mix well and serve chilled.

Method 3

  • Add a bottle of sparkling wine and sugar (or any sweetener of your choice) if necessary. Mix well and serve chilled.
