Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups tomato ketchup
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¾ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper or to taste
  • ½ cup apple juice or water

Instructions

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan, bring to a quick boil, then lower the heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
  • Adjust seasoning if needed, then remove from heat and leave to cool completely to room temperature.
  • Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
