Salmon Bites 3 ways with Dipping Sauce

These crispy salmon bites are to die for. They are tender, flaky, and flavourful. I’ve been making them for some weeks now and I’m absolutely loving it. Seriously, you’ll have some people licking the bottom of the pan after dinner, so watch out!

Ingredients

For Salmon:

  • 1 pound salmon center-cut skin/skinless cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon oregano

For the sauce:

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2-3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic pressed or minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt and black pepper or add to taste

Instructions

Instruction for the Salmon:

  • In a large bowl, add the fish, olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cayenne pepper, oregano, salt, and pepper to the fish and toss to coat.

Oven method:

  • Set your oven broiler on high.
  • Lay the seasoned fish on a foil-lined baking sheet
  • Broil for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Stovetop method:

  • Preheat a cast iron skillet or a non-stick cooking pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add the seasoned salmon and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on the first side and another two to 3 minutes on the second side.

Air fryer method:

  • Place the seasoned salmon fish into the basket of your air fryer.
  • Cook at 400F for 5 to 6 minutes or until fully cooked.

Instruction for the Sauce:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Adjust seasoning if necessary.
  • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.

Notes

  • The dressing is designed to be bold, but you can add extra honey if you find it too tart.
  • Feel free to double or triple this recipe as you want.
  • You will know that the salmon bites are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 °F.
