Calories 721.5kcal

Ingredients

  • ½ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ¼–½ cup water adjust as needed
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together tahini and lemon juice. At first, the mixture may look thick or slightly clumpy. This is normal.
  • Stir in minced garlic and salt. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  • Slowly whisk in room temperature water, a little at a time, until the sauce becomes smooth and pourable.
  • Taste and adjust salt or lemon as needed.
  • Serve immediately or chill before using.

Notes

Add more lemon for brightness
More water for a thinner consistency
A drizzle of olive oil for richness
Your tahini sauce should be creamy, smooth, and easy to drizzle.
From experience, adding water gradually helps control thickness and prevents separation. Add one tablespoon at a time while stirring. The sauce will loosen and become smooth.
