Ingredients

  • 5 medium russet potatoes (approx. 2 lb)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • parsley (for garnish if desired)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F, if your air fryer requires preheating.
  • Scrub the potatoes until the dirt is entirely gone. If peeling the potatoes, skip the scrubbing and go right to peeling them. Once cleaned and prepped, cut the potatoes into wedges. Each potato should yield about 8 to 10 wedges.
  • In a large bowl, mix all of the spices. Add in the potatoes along with the oil and toss everything together until evenly coated.
  • Transfer the potatoes to the air fryer and align them in a single layer. For even overall cooking, cook in batches. Bake for 15 minutes and rotate about halfway through. They will be done when they have a golden brown color and are crispy.
  • Sprinkle the warm potatoes with chopped cilantro or parsley if desired; serve warm.

Notes

  1. Dry the potatoes thoroughly before adding the seasoning to prevent soggy wedges.
  2. Don't overfill the air fryer so that the wedges will all be evenly crisped.
