Chicken Patties

On nights when you just want a quick dinner, Chicken Patties will come through. Making Chicken patties is a great use of your leftover chicken. You would love how versatile chicken patties are! They work as perfect side dishes, appetizers or even something to enjoy at a potluck!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup bell pepper finely chopped - optional
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 hamburger buns or lettuce wraps for serving optional

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper (if using), parsley, egg, Worcestershire, salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ½-inch thick.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Be sure to flip the patties only once to avoid breaking them.
  • If using hamburger buns, toast them lightly on a separate pan or in a toaster oven.
  • Place the cooked chicken patties on the bottom half of the toasted buns or lettuce wraps. Add your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and condiments. Top with the other half of the bun or lettuce wrap.
  • Serve the delicious chicken patties immediately with a side of your favorite salad, coleslaw, or French fries. Enjoy!

Notes

Note: You can also grill the chicken patties on a preheated, well-oiled grill for 5-6 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
