Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, bell pepper (if using), parsley, egg, Worcestershire, salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes (if using). Mix until all ingredients are well combined.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ½-inch thick.
Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and have an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Be sure to flip the patties only once to avoid breaking them.
If using hamburger buns, toast them lightly on a separate pan or in a toaster oven.
Place the cooked chicken patties on the bottom half of the toasted buns or lettuce wraps. Add your choice of toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and condiments. Top with the other half of the bun or lettuce wrap.
Serve the delicious chicken patties immediately with a side of your favorite salad, coleslaw, or French fries. Enjoy!
Notes
Mix the patties gently; overmixing makes them dense.
To grill: cook on a preheated, well-oiled grill for 5 to 6 minutes per side, until they reach 165°F (74°C).
To bake: bake at 400°F (205°C) for 15 to 20 minutes, until they reach 165°F (74°C).
To air fry: air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway.
Freeze uncooked patties on a tray, then transfer to a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before cooking.
Nutrition is for one patty, without the bun or toppings.
