How To Reheat Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cooked rice
  • water or broth

Instructions

Microwave Method

  • Put the rice in a microwave-safe bowl
  • Drizzle little water on top
  • Place a damp paper towel on the rice to ensure that it has enough water to be heated.
  • Set the timer to half the time you intend to heat and wait
  • Stir again to redistribute and to ensure it is properly heated. Then set the timer again
  • Take it out of the microwave and serve it.

Stovetop Method

  • place the rice in a pan
  • Add a tablespoon or two of water or broth
  • Cover the pot with the lid and heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until it is hot and steaming.
  • Once the rice is heated through, serve it immediately.

Oven Method

  • Put the rice in an oven-safe baking bowl
  • Drizzle little water on top
  • Break up the large clumps of rice with rice
  • Cover with a lid or aluminum foil
  • Bake at 300 °F until the rice is adequately heated.
