This easy breakfast Honey Butter Toast bread is the perfect answer for the morning rush. The aroma of the bread and butter getting toasted in the toaster is irresistible.
This is a recipe my family has fallen in love with over the years. Though it’s a very simple recipe, but it is very satisfying and it will take your breakfast to an exciting new place.
Okay, whenever I this ”toast” recipe, I don’t use the bread toaster, I always use the sandwich maker. I have also used a grill for this and it worked out perfectly. However, the ideal toasting machine will not be ideal recipe.
How to make the Honey Butter Toast
To make the Honey Butter Toast, you will need four slices of bread for each batch. Simply take a slice of bread’ spread a thin layer of butter on the bread then cover it up with another slice of bread. Spread the butter on the surface of the bread. Flip to the other side and also spread your butter over it. Repeat the same thing for the other two slices of bread.
Preheat your sandwich maker and place the prepared bread on it. Cover it up and leave it to toast for about 3 to 5 minutes or till you achieve your desired brownness.
Once you are satisfied with the brownness, spread a layer of honey over the bread while it’s still very hot. This will enable the bread to absorb the honey well.
It can be eaten hot, warm or cold; plain or drizzled with a little extra honey, syrup or topped with any fruit jam of your choice.
For breakfast, you can serve your toast with a cup of coffee or tea and for Snack, for brunch you can serve with a glass of chilled juice and for dessert, you can top with Vanilla Ice cream.
It’s best to use room temperature butter for this recipe. It’s easier to spread that on your slice of bread.
This Honey Butter toast does not only make a great breakfast, but it also makes a great Brunch, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert, Appetizer and even snack.
Honey Butter Toast
- 4 slices Bread
- Butter Salted Butter
- Spread a thin layer of Butter on the Bread (make sure all the edges are touched)
- Place another slice of Bread over the Buttered surface and layer it with butter
- Flip to the other side layer it again with butter
- Place your bread on a preheated toaster and toast between 2-5 minutes depending on the thickness of your bread and how 'browned' you want your bread to be.
- Spread the honey on both sides of the toasted bread while the bread is still very hot. Serve and enjoy!
