For making steak bites, the best cuts are sirloin, tenderloin, filet mignon, ribeye, strip steak, and flank steak. These cuts have the right flavor, texture, and tenderness to ensure the steak bites are juicy and flavorful.

Additionally, these cuts are easy to cube into small pieces, which makes them ideal for steak bites.

Steak Bite Marinade

A steak bite marinade can add flavor and tenderness to steak bites. Let the steak bites marinate for at least 30 minutes for maximum flavor and tenderness.

Although you may cook your seasoned steak without marinating it but marinating helps infuse more flavor deep inside the steak.

  • Seasoning: Garlic, Onion powder, Salt, and Pepper
  • Lemon juice makes the steak more tender while giving it a tangy flavor.

Why are my steak bites tough?

If your steak bites are tough, it could be caused by overcookingnot marinating the steak long enough, or using a tougher cut of steak

To prevent tough steak bites, marinate the steak for at least 30 minutes, use a tender cut of steak, and cook the steak bites over medium-high heat until they’re cooked to your desired doneness.

How long should you marinate the steak?

It’s best to marinate for at least 30 minutes. I like to marinate for an hour or overnight. The longer you marinate the steak cubes, the more flavorful and tender they will be

How can I keep my steak bites warm?

Make sure to cover your steak bites with foil after cooking. The foil will keep the dish warm and prevent the steak from getting cold and hardening up. Also, you can pop it into the oven with the foil to give it a bit of warmth.

What’s the Best Cut of Steak for Steak Bites?

The best cut of steak for steak bites is a tender cut, such as sirloin, filet mignon, or ribeye. Avoid tougher cuts of steak, as they will be chewy and difficult to bite into.

I used the sirloin cut because it is lean, flavorful, and relatively tender, making it a good option for steak bites.

Steak bites can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Make sure you eat within 2-3 days to ensure food safety.

For the best results, reheat steak bites in a skillet or pan on the stovetop. Heat a small amount of oil in the pan on medium heat and add the steak bites. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the steak bites are heated through.

Alternatively, you can reheat steak bites in the oven. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper and spread the steak bites out in a single layer. Bake for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway through until the steak bites are heated through.
