This simple salad is nutrient-dense and flavor-packed and will quickly become a favorite in your house. You can enjoy tomato mozzarella salad during the summer season to grill events or bring it as a side dish for a family gathering.
I’m naturally not a cheese person, but there’s just something about Mozzarella cheese that I can’t explain. I love it on my pizza and my salads. It’s my favorite cheese. It’s also easy to work with, and it pairs so well with tomatoes giving it a nice flavor burst.

You will need:
- ripe tomatoes cherry tomatoes or grape tomatoes
- fresh mozzarella I used the fresh mozzarella balls
- basil leaves
- Oregano
- olive oil
- balsamic vinegar or white balsamic for a lighter color
- salt & pepper for taste.
How to make Tomato Mozzarella Salad
All you need is to combine the tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, fresh basil, pinch of sea salt, some really good Olive oil, and a few drops of balsamic vinaigrette. Done!

- I love the taste of balsamic vinegar, but it stains, so if you are particular about looks, you can add the balsamic vinegar just before serving.
Tomato Mozzarella salad
Ingredients
Salad
- 3 cups cherry tomatoes halved
- 1/2 lb fresh mozzarella balls
- 1/4 cup basil leaves torn or chopped
- 1/4 tsp oregano
Dressing
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar or add to taste
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the olive, balsamic vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well and set aside.
- Place the tomatoes mozzarella balls, basil leaves, oregano, (salt, and black pepper if necessary) in a large bowl. Toss to combine.
- Pour the dressing over the tomato mixture and gently toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with some more basil leaves and drizzle with balsamic glaze if desired.
- Chill at least an hour or until ready to serve.
